Kayura was founded by Indian American Kanan Patel who grew up in a household that honored both the ancient healing wisdom of Ayurveda and pharmaceutical science. As a teen, when Kanan struggled with skin allergies, her pharmacist father would give her OTC products that quelled histamines, while her mother would concoct Ayurvedic remedies that reduce inflammation.
