Defying Labels is not just a name—it is a movement founded by Patty Flores, whose intersectional experiences as a former foster youth, queer immigrant, and survivor of homelessness and juvenile incarceration contribute to her advocacy work at every level. Patty has over a decade of experience empowering youth in the foster care system, and she possesses an incredibly astute, analytical lens through which to view systemic issues.
