Gorgeous places to explore in Sharjah
1. Sharjah Art Museum
This was a fantastic experience. If you’re passionate about Arabic art, I would recommend going to the museum. It has some of the most valuable Arabic art, as well as beautiful exhibits by some of the best Arabic painters. The museum isn’t very old, and it was opened in 1997. Experiencing its authenticity is a must.
2. Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization
You don’t have to be Arabic, Muslim or Christian to feel the beauty. All you need is to go and visit. I will never forget the feeling when I walked into the Islamic museum. Breathtaking architecture and religious manuscripts everywhere. After visiting, I placed it among ‘one of the beautiful things in Sharjah’ category. The museum is home to a long list of items like metal and glass handicrafts that I had never seen before.
3. Sharjah Science Museum
If you have children, you can’t miss taking them to the KidZania in Sharjah. This is the best place for kids in the city, and they’ll love it! Besides being a great entertainment destination, KidZania also has several educational activities that will keep your child busy for hours. The museum hosts Planetarium, a navigable star map, an exhibition of the solar system, a laser model of the Earth, and interactive games that teach children about geography and science.
4. Sharjah’s Central Market
The most popular site in Sharjah is the Blue Souq. It’s called that because of its type of blue tile work, which is well-known world-wide. This market has about 600 shops and is an amazing place to shop for tourists. There’s a really cool place in the market called the Arabian Bazaar. It’s a traditional style market with a lot of shops. The Central Market in Sharjah is also worth a visit. It’s a large market that has a variety of clothes, jewelry, electronics, and kitchenware for you to indulge in.
5. Sharjah Archaeology Museum
The Sharjah Archaeological Museum houses an assortment of archaeological findings that date back to prehistory. There are some amazing excavations and antiquities to see, such as pottery, jewelry, and ancient relics. Located on the right side of Sharjah’s skyline, Khalid Lagoon is famous for being world’s third highest fountain. Watching the fountain for long periods of time will leave you feeling serene. You can also visit Khalid Lagoon with your lover and spend some quality time there.

8. Qanat Al Qasba
Al Qasba is more than just an entertainment centre, because them event centre has a lot of interactive attractions. But the most famous of them all is the Ferris wheel called “Eye of the Emirates”. When you start your ascent in this magnificent wheel, you get to view the spectacular city below.

The Heritage Village is a popular site in Sharjah, known for its museums and home to many rich historical facts. One of the more interesting museums is Al Midfaa, which has a wind tower that was used by Bedouins in ancient times to preserve themselves from the heat. 10. Al Noor Island
Located on the Khalid Lagoon, the park is a public space that you will have to cross a bridge from the central city’s Corniche Street to get to. Once you reach the other side, you’ll find yourself among five-hundred different species of butterflies. I was astonished when I first saw them! There’s also an art installation that you can walk through. It’s called “Butterfly House” and it has the same name for a reason.
