Workshop by Urvashi Agarwal on Women Empowerment at AAFT
Noida: “Women’s empowerment may be defined in several ways, including accepting women’s viewpoints, trying to seek them and raising the status of women through education, awareness, literacy, and training. Women’s empowerment equips and allows women to make life-determining decisions through the different societal problems,” explained Urvashi Agarwal renowned writer and poetess while talking to the students of media at Asian Academy of Film and Television at Noida Film City.
Women’s empowerment has become a significant topic of discussion in development and economics. Economic empowerment allows women to control and benefit from resources, assets, and income. It also aids the ability to manage risk and improve women’s well-being.
“Boost her self-esteem, shut down the negativity, support Women-run Businesses, by giving proper education, giving job opportunities, be open and honest and signal-boost other women,” some of the suggestions given by Urvashi Agarwal.
There are many new schemes on Women Empowerment likeBeti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme, Ujjawala- A comprehensive Scheme for prevention of trafficking and rescue, rehabilitation and re-integration of victims of trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation, Swadhar Greh in difficult circumstances, Nari Shakti Purskar, Dr. Sarojni Naidu National Award for Working Women, Mahila Shakti Kendras etc. informed Sandeep Marwah President AAFT.
Later Sandeep Marwah honoured Urvashi Agarwal with the life membership of International Women’s Film Forum of Marwah Studios. The event was supported by International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry.
