The Springdale Medical Centre was started almost 30 years ago by two University of Toronto graduates, both had grown up in suburban neighborhoods in the GTA and had a real understanding of the medical needs of immigrants and established families in these communities. When the clinic was first built in 1995, its location was considered “farmland on the outskirts of Brampton”, and over the years, it has become the medical backbone of a community of more than 200,000 culturally diverse people, with our physicians having looked after over 90,000 patients since inception.

Springdale Medical Centre, has also, at times, been a teaching facility associated with the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine as well as the McMaster Medical Program, teaching both undergraduate medical students as well as medical residents in their final years of training. More recently, we have also provided an opportunity for young Canadian graduates from International Medical Training Programs to secure Canadian medical experience in order to help them achieve their dream of completing medical residency at home in Canada.
