A work-related or workers compensation injury is any injury that occurs in the course and scope of employment. Basically, you were doing your job and while doing your job, you suffered an injury. The easy way to explain it is if you are doing something in furtherance of the affairs of your employer’s business, then you’re engaging in the normal course and scope of employment. Keep in mind that your injury has to be in the course and scope of employment. If you are on a lunch break and get hurt , you are not in the course and scope of employment.
Or lets say you just clocked out of work and while walking to your car, you fell in the parking lot, you are not in the course and scope of employment.
