WHAT IS A RESIDUAL GAS ANALYSER?

Leak detection technology is essential to project success across many sectors. For instance, in the space industry, detection systems are used to identify potentially harmful leaks that could result in abrupt temperature changes and a depletion of oxygen in spacecraft. Engineers frequently utilise residual gas analyzers (RGAs) to evaluate how leak-tight their vacuum chambers are. Mass spectrometers and residual gas analyzers (RGAs), sometimes known as partial pressure analyzers, are used to qualitatively identify each distinct gaseous species within a vacuum system. These emission gas analyzer devices work by determining the particle's ion mass (M) to charge valence (z) ratio (M/z).
