The Casio corporation was established in 1946 in Japan, not long after World War II concluded, by Tadao Kashio. After making a lot of noise with their calculators, which they first started out making as cigarette holders, they moved on to making watches. Since then, Casio has not turned back, and its timepieces are now sold all over the world and acknowledged as the best of all of them.
