Romania is still in the running for either Europe 2 or third place in the Final Qualification Tournament with 22 points.

The Lelos need only one point from their remaining games, which are against Romania this weekend in Bucharest and Spain eight days later in Tbilisi, to mathematically secure their top spot. It was a shocking result for Georgia, who will face Wales once more at the RWC next year after winning their first match against a Tier One nation earlier this year against Italy.
