Villagas ties for 72nd at PGA Bermuda Championship with Seung-Yeol Noh
Wins fifth career title
Second-place Noren denied first win
Camilo Viejas (COL) lifted the trophy at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship ($6.5 million purse) on the U.S. Professional Golf (PGA) Tour.
Villagas shot a 6-under 65 with six birdies and no bogeys in the final four rounds of the tournament at the par-71 Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda, on Wednesday (Sept. 13).
With a final-round total of 24-under 260, Villagas moved from second to the lead and won for the first time in nine years and three months since the Wyndham Championship in August 2014. He earned his fifth career PGA Tour title and $11.7 million in prize money.
Alex Noren (SWE), who led for three straight days, finished two strokes behind Villagas in second place (22-under-par 262) on the final day. He fell short of his first career PGA Tour victory.
Marty Schmidt (GER) finished tied for third (21-under 263), followed by Carl Yuan (CHN) in fourth and Ryan Moore (USA) and Adam Scott (AUS) in a tie for fifth.
Seung-Yeol Noh (GIVENT), who was tied for 54th after three rounds, finished in a tie for 72nd.
He carded two birdies and four bogeys for a 2-over-par 73 and a 5-under-par 279 total.
Noh was ranked 168th in the FedExCup standings prior to this tournament and needs to improve his ranking to secure a spot on the PGA Tour next year. However, he finished the tournament in a lowly 172nd place.
He will be seeded 125th in the FedExCup standings next season. 카지노사이트
