Varieties of Mineral Water
Based on the presence of the minerals as mentioned earlier, the mineral water may be broken down into the following categories:
Mineral Water with Sulfate: Sulfate anions are a defining feature of this compound. For example, mineral water containing magnesium sulfate or sodium sulfate is known for its ability to relieve constipation and aid digestion. In addition, it serves several important roles in metabolism and cellular processes, particularly in the development and growth of a fetus.
Mineral Water with Chloride: Chloride, the most abundant mineral in this water, has little physiological consequences. When combined with sodium, this mineral is a common component in salt mineral water.
Mineral Water with Bicarbonate: This mineral is low in minerals, is a little chilly, is slightly alkaline, and has diuretic qualities. This water has been shown to benefit the digestive system and reduce acid output.
Hydraulic Lime: The principal constituent of this is calcium, an essential mineral for healthy bones, teeth, and blood. The health of your bones depends on drinking enough calcium-rich water.
Mg+ Mineral Water: Magnesium and smaller amounts of other minerals like magnesium sulfate are the primary minerals in this water. It’s useful for regulating bowel movements, relieving constipation, easing PMS symptoms, etc.
Water with Fluoride: The fluoride in this water is great for kids since it prevents cavities and strengthens bones. High doses of this mineral may cause cancer and other health problems, so it’s best to avoid them if possible.
Iron-Rich Mineral H2O: Two types of ferrous mineral water fall under this umbrella: sulfate ferrous mineral water and bicarbonate ferrous mineral water. One has a high concentration of arsenic, whereas the other has a low concentration of arsenic.
Mineral Water with Sodium: Mineral water of this kind is naturally high in sodium and may be combined with other anions. When combined with chloride, drinking this water increases the risk of hypertension. That’s why those with heart conditions shouldn’t use it.
