Tyler Adams
Adams has moved to Leeds United in the Premier League after four seasons with RB Leipzig but in reality, he was pretty ineffective this past movement. Goal scoring has never been his forte but he also didn’t fairly live up to hopes in the recent season which is why Leipzig let him go so easily. Adams didn’t slash a goal and registered one assist throughout the season and with eight yellow cards coming in too it was also an ill-disciplined year.
Brenden Aaronson
Projecting a move to Leeds United Brenden Aaronson joins his compatriot in the Premier League for next season. In contrast to Adams Aaronson goes into the new season off of a fantastic movement for RB Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga.
The aggressive midfielder netted six goals in all competitions and registered 10 assists. It was a fantastic spell for Aaronson and although playing in Austria is not quite as glamorous as the other top European leagues the American was perhaps the most effective USMNT player in Europe this year.
Timothy Weah
It was an underwhelming spell for Weah and Lille. The French side failed to defend the Ligue 1 title and finished 10th. What’s more, Weah also scored two goals fewer than he did last time with the American netting just three times from 35 games. Unfortunately, it was a pretty average spell after taking over France in 2020-21.
Christian Pulisic
It was Pulisic’s highest season since his move to Chelsea in 2018. The Pennsylvania native has won the Champions League and Club Football World Cup with the Blues but has been absent from just 22 Premier League games in 38 fixtures this season. That’s all there is to say about Pulisic’s recent movement.
The striker has scored six times in 22 league games and he is failing to find a starting spot in Chelsea’s team every week and is sporadically in action. It wasn’t a bad season he just doesn’t play enough these days.
Weston McKennie
It was only a few years ago that McKennie was labelled as a future USMNT hero, but once again, he struggled to make an impact at the club level. McKennie did register his second-highest scoring spell in professional soccer however with four goals from 29 appearances. On the other hand, he started a handful of games for Juventus and in truth, if he wants to get regular game time ahead of the FIFA World Cup, he might have to consider sendoff the Italian side.
Yunas Musah
It was a difficult spell for Musah and Valencia. The Spanish side finished ninth in La Liga and although he played in 29 league games, he started only a few. Musah still has three goals in all competitions including two in seven games in the Copa del Rey. It was a good middle season
Cameron Carter-Vickers
England-born Carter-Vickers has been representing the United States since 2014 and after a good season with Celtic in Scotland is likely to have the best season for any USMNT player in Europe. The player managed to score four amazing goals in 33 Hoops games in the Scottish Premiership cup-winning game as he was also included in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year.
Antonee Robinson
Robinson had the most impressive American season on the list as he was part of the Fulham team that broke the record that beaten everyone to win the trophy. The 24-year-old has played 36 games for Program 46.
The Cottagers Championship Games bring him two points and four assists in a good season. With Fulham currently back in the Premier League however his playing time could be significantly reduced. Still, they can enjoy their 2021-22 tour.
Joe Scally
Scally is another young American making headlines in Europe and he missed just four of the scheduled 34 matches in the Bundesliga for Borussia Mönchengladbach. On the other hand, despite having played the most games. Gladbach was awful as he finished 10th in the league in what was one of his worst campaigns in history.
From a personal point of view, Scally has earned his first two USMNT caps this season, and he also scored his first goal in professional football along with two assists. Overall, it was a positive term for him amid a terrible 2021-22 for Gladbach.
Sergiño Dest
Despite playing significantly less this season than last campaign due to new signings at Barcelona, Dest still made 31 appearances for the Spanish giants. It’s also been a torrid campaign for Barcelona having spent most of the season outside the top three. Barcelona has improved significantly as the season has progressed and with only 38 goals conceded it’s fair to say that Dest has played his part in a good job defensively.
Giovanni Reyna
At 19 years old Reyna is one of the hottest prospects on the European scene and he remains an integral part of the future of the USMNT. Reyna however did have his spell plagued by injury and he was ruled out for many months back in April. He did become the youngest player to make 50 Bundesliga appearances in history this spell but in total, he played just 13 times because of injuries and scored only two goals along the way.
With Reyna and Aaronson capable of playing centre this is the sincere position in the USMNT. Adams will start. Musah and McKennie will certainly be too. And Luca de la Torre dazzled almost every time he donated an American T-shirt lately. Getting a 26th place finish with his actions in May ended with a great centre that prevented the American defeat in El Salvador. To know more about England Vs USA Tickets click here.
Wales captain aiming to play on beyond Qatar Football World Cup and targeting silverware with Angeles FC
Gareth Bale has revealed he is aiming to continue to represent Wales beyond this winter’s Football World Cup, with Euro 2024 a goal and even the FIFA World Cup a possibility. There had been suggestions Bale could retire after Qatar Football World Cup and that his 12-month contract at Los Angeles FC could be his last after a difficult final few seasons at Real Madrid.
However, speaking in his first press conference as an MLS team player, Bale made it clear that he intends to play beyond this season with his sights set on both the European Championship in Germany and the four-year World Cup in North America. At the end of the week, I’m still 32-33 and the five-time Champions League winner said I have many more years to come.
“I didn’t come here to be here for six months; I came here for 12 months to try to be here as long as possible. I want to do the best I can to make my mark in this league and in this team. I am looking forward to the future, it is not a short matter. It also gives me the best chance to keep going to the next Euro, maybe beyond, so I plan to work hard.”
There’s a great physical team in the club’s medical staff to work on the training ground and we’ve got a great plan going forward to get me up to speed and hopefully last as long as possible. Being here gives me the best possible chance to qualify for the Euros and you never know there might be another goal of mine. I feel that I am here to play a big role.
Bale stated that he has received a good response from fans since he arrived in Los Angeles and can’t wait to go to the field. Bale joined the LAFC team that was only in the fifth full season but was the top in the Western Conference. The California side has also hired Italian and Juventus legend Giorgio Chiellini this summer with the Welshman targeting silver with his new club.
Bale says he also hopes to play a role in promoting the game in the United States and helping young players at the club. Bell said that while talking to Larry Berg lead managing owner and John Thorington co-president and general manager of Zoom, it immediately felt like the right destination had to be reached.
An exciting project, the club that is growing, they are doing well at the moment and the city is not bad either! I also want to try to help promote football in the United States. I want to try to help young people develop. I was talking to some of them this morning and if I could help them in any way I would. For those players who have a lot of experience in their careers, I think it’s our responsibility to promote the game around the world.
