The Procedure

Prior to the FUE procedure, a computer digital scanning identifies the strongest donor follicles. This is to protect future hair loss. A local anaesthetic gets applied on the perimeter of the scalp and once the scalp is entirely numb, the rest of the procedure is completely painless.

Should the procedure be an extensive one, lasting more than 5-6 hours, then you will receive extra anaesthetic before the first one wears off. The transplant involves removing some healthy hair follicles on your head and transplanting them individually to the problem area’s.

If possible, the transplanted hair goes into the same slot that the former hair follicles were in, to keep the look as natural as possible. This also helps to increase the chances that the hair stays permanently transplanted, so that you never have to worry about going bald again – or at least drastically reduce the amount of hair loss you are now faced with.
