The One Stop Check-List For Your Triathlon Race
The night before the triathlon race is very difficult to pass because all players are both, excited and nervous about the race the next morning. It is the time to get your stuff together and get ready for the ride. Here is a check list for you so that you can be all set for your race:
• Proper Bike- This is a pretty obvious point because how will you perform in the race if you don’t have a bike. However, some people do forget their bikes. It is recommended for you to give it a test drive before you take it to the racing track. This is important so that you do not receive any surprises on the main day during the race. Make sure you get the best wheels for triathlon bike so that you have a comfortable ride. Pump up the tires to the desired pressure before you leave home so that you do not have any problems later.
• Triathlon clothing and shoes- For many people, wearing tri shorts and tri top or shirt to your triathlon race is enough. You also need to wear your running shoes and socks if you do wear socks. Most of the running shoes will have speed laces. Use these only if you have trained with them earlier but remember to not experiment with anything new on the main race day. Keep in mind that most triathlons give out merchandised shirts at the race. You can either change into it after the race or wear it during the race.
• Bike carrier- If you know that your bike is not going to fit in the back of your SUV or the box of your trunk, you must use a bike rack or carrier to transport it from your home to the racing track. Make sure you find it and install it on your car before the race day and ready to go the next morning. The morning of the race is anyway very scary as people tend to become very anxious about the race.
• Sunglasses- You might also want to carry a pair of sunglasses with you so that you can wear it and protect yourself from any kind of bugs or debris, even if it is not a sunny day. Keep these sunglasses inside your bike helmet so that you remember to put them on before the race.
• Water- Remember to always carry a bottle of water with you during the race. You never know how long you will have to wait in the heat before the race begins. You must not get dehydrated before you start the race. If you have trained with any of the sport drinks, take those along with you so that you stay energized along the entire race duration.
