The ingredients I used to make my powder highlighter
I used 7 ingredients to make my powder highlighter:
1. Z-Pallete’s Z-Matte Powder in Banana
2. A little bit of Z-Matte Pressed Powder in Banana
3. A little bit of Z-Matte Pressed Powder in Pink
4.A drop of baby oil and orange carnation seed oil
5. Red Food colouring (a little bit of Z-Red, if you can’t find this colour)
6. Natural Mineral & Trace Element Powder (in a few different shades and from where I found it)
Before I started making my own, I used a powder highlighter made by Sephora called Jam With Juicy Mango. If you’re like me, you come into contact with a lot of it along with other products containing it, like Clinique’s Hello Flawless powder or NYX’s Amazing Skin Glow powder.
The big issue with Juicy Mango, and all of those powders like it, is that the concentration of pigments is so high that the ingredients are over-saturated and cause severe irritation. It almost turns your skin green, which is a big turnoff. I also have sensitive skin and found that the high amount of antioxidants and pigments makes my skin break out really quickly.
I wanted a brighter, pinker powder that doesn’t irritate my skin and doesn’t require mixing. In addition, I also like powders that look like frosted chocolate.
I couldn’t find a pink Juicy Mango powder anywhere so I did some research and found that China Dermatology has the perfect formulation — an all-natural powder that doesn’t contain fragrance and is made with bananas and strawberries, like you and I!
The cool thing about making your own is that you store it in a sealed container in your fridge and you’re able to use it as often as you want. I like to store my powder highlighters in the fridge so I can use them every single weekend. Since the container is airtight, they stay for anywhere from 4 to 14 days before needing to be replaced.
Conclusion: You don’t have to sacrifice skin health for a pretty glow when you can take matters into your own hands and create your own natural, healthy life hacks at home that won’t cost you an arm and a leg.
It’s important to take matters into your own hands and create your own natural, healthy life hacks at home that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. And, it’s easy: just try some of these simple tips and you’ll notice a difference in your skin tone and texture in no time.
The process of turning regular skin essence into a glowing highlighter starts by pulverizing the extract from the medicinal plants SLS, parabens, and petroleum. Then, you mix the powdered extract and alcohol into a base to form a paste. This paste is meant to be used as a gentle highlighting powder and, if all goes well, will turn your skin a brilliant magenta!
Think of it as your own natural collagen, which smooths fine lines and also increases hydration levels. The glittery, magenta glow you will achieve is completely natural, too — because it doesn’t contain any known Artificial Ingredients. How does it work, then? Well, the act of putting this on your skin naturally increases the redistribution of minerals and enzymes, making it more effective at absorbing impurities and helping the skin to retain moisture.

If you fall into the “I don’t really drink coffee, but I do love chamomile tea” camp, you may also enjoy drinking “Chamomile Herbal Teas,” which feature Chlorella, an antioxidant that is super popular lush powdered sunshine review in skincare because it’s a natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.
Apply a few drops of tea, let sit for 5–10 minutes, and wash it off with warm water. You can use this tea every morning, or whenever you’re ready to have a little glow.
If you’re a fan of hot beverages (or even if you’re not), cranberries will help brighten your skin. An antioxidant, cranberry juice boosts the pigmentation of the skin and also helps the absorption of ceramides, a substance that help maintain skin hydration and helps to prevent dryness.
