The best goalkeeper in Southgate. He didn’t let England down. Maybe you’re worried about him emotionally, but Pickford is good at stopping shots and has always had good foot control, which he showed at Everton.

Haven’t played for over a month due to a groin injury, which is worrying. But Southgate took the risk of getting the Manchester City defender. Walker is versatile and Southgate will use him.
Kieran Trippier (Newcastle)
I want Trippier to start from the right flank against Iran in the first match of the Football World Cup. He has a great serve, relentless energy on the right and a wealth of experience. England should use it.
Luke Shaw (Man Utd)
A good choice. With Ben Chilwell out due to injury, England have no options on the left back. Southgate’s choice of Shaw was never in doubt as he now began playing for Manchester United under Erik ten Hag.

Can’t wait to see Bellingham in an England jersey this winter. He is only 19, he plays beyond his years. There is no dispute about whether he should or should not start next to Rice – he needs to.
Jordan Henderson (Liverpool)

Conor Gallagher (Chelsea)
James Ward-Prowse will be disappointed, but Gallagher is clearly talented. He had an amazing season at Crystal Palace last year and is now looking to become a starter for Chelsea. He’s a scammer, so I authorize this call!

A pillar on England’s path to the Euro 2020 final, but I’m not sure about that. It comes down to him not having enough playing time. A fit Phillips would have received five stars, but he has only made one minute in the Premier League this season! This is gambling.

He was not at his best at Chelsea but he is very versatile and works very hard. Southgate trusts him on and off the property. That’s why he runs it so often. I want to see a confident Mount for England this winter.
James Maddison (Leicester)
I wrote that Maddison should be selected or he might come back to bite Southgate. It is a well-deserved call for the results he has shown this season with a struggling Leicester team. Bravo Southgate for making the right decision.
Harry Kane (Tottenham)
I don’t blame Kane for being frazzled. This season has been merciless for him. Kane is third in minutes in the Premier League behind Hugo Lloris and Virgil van Dijk. England is not the same without him.
Raheem Sterling (Chelsea)
You have to believe in Sterling. He’s not having his best season for Chelsea, but he’s important for England. Let’s not use him as a left winger like Graham Potter please, Southgate.
Phil Foden (Man City)
Sometimes I think Pep Guardiola kicked Foden off his team just to ruin our Fantasy Premier League teams! He is an amazing player, different from others, and an obvious choice for this Football World Cup.
Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)
Five star Saka. He had to go to this World Cup. His best position at Arsenal was on the right flank with the ball glued to his left foot. Whether he starts for England or comes on as a substitute, he will make an impact.
Jack Grealish (Man City)
I will allow it. His numbers aren’t what they should be for a super club like Manchester City, but Grealish is a good player who can change the game if he’s up to par. I know it, you know it, and Southgate knows it.
Marcus Rashford (Man Utd)
Another Manchester United player whose confidence seemed so low last season. Rashford is a good choice with his speed. If he picks up speed, England can use him effectively on the left flank.
Callum Wilson (Newcastle)
It’s Ws day! Walker, White and Wilson were drafted, while Tammy Abraham and Ivan Tony were dropped in favor of Wilson. Judging by the form, he should be in this team.
