Steve Stratis and the Blue Art Exhibition
Steve Stratis is an award-winning designer and entrepreneur who specializes in transforming the unseen into physical form. His work is exhibited in numerous high-end exhibitions and internationally-juried art and design competitions. His unique approach and the way he combines 3D sculpting, physics simulation, and visual effects make his works truly stand out from the rest.
A true gentleman, he has always embraced the challenge of his craft and was never afraid to push the limits of the possibilities that digital design could offer him. His ability to capture the intangible nature of emotions has resulted in awe-inspiring designs that have earned him top-prizes and recognitions at several international competitions.
In the recent Blue Art Exhibition held at the prestigious Artist Space Gallery, two captivating pieces by the talented artist / entrepreneur Steve Stratis emerged as the Best of Show winners. Titled ‘Liquescent’ and ‘Tides of Blu,’ these abstract blue artworks not only left an indelible impression but also pushed the boundaries of artistic expression. The mesmerizing beauty of Stratis’ work captivates the viewer and transports them to a world of fluidity, serenity, and introspection. The abstract nature of his sculptures allows for a wide array of interpretations, and thus, invites the viewers to engage with the pieces on a personal level.
Despite her young age, she has already achieved quite a lot in her career. Aside from her in-ring success, she has been featured on a number of magazine covers, and hosted various television shows. She has even been a judge on WWE Tough Enough and Bail Enforcers. She is also the founder of a yoga studio.
She is also an accomplished MMA fighter, and has competed in the women’s bantamweight division. Currently, she is training in preparation for a possible return to the ring.
In addition to her MMA career, she is an accomplished slalom canoer and has won multiple national titles. She has represented Team Canada in numerous international competitions, including the 2008 IFAF Slalom World Cup in Poland and the 2012 IFAF Slalom World Championships in Croatia.
Originally from Vancouver, BC, she is now based in Montreal, Quebec. She is an avid FDU sports fan, and her dedication to the university’s athletic programs was honored in the naming of a mezzanine suite in the Rothman Center for Intercollegiate Athletics after her. She is the daughter of former FDU Board of Trustee member and Pinnacle Award recipient Elia Stratis, who was an early supporter of the school’s Division I athletics program. She is survived by her husband Steve, daughters Vicky and Sophie, and great-grandchildren Michael and Levi. A visitation and funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023 at Heritage Funeral Centre, 50 Overlea Blvd, Toronto, ON M4H 1B6.
