Steps To Find The Best Personal Gym Trainer For Efficient Results
Decide what goals you want to accomplish such as increased flexibility, muscle toning, or increased cardiovascular endurance. Choose a personal gym training class that will further your personal goals. This may require viewing not only the group fitness schedule for a facility, but also the individual class descriptions listed to get a better understanding of the class’s purpose and structure. This can usually be found on the fitness website or at the front desk of the fitness facility.
1. Select the appropriate category
Check to see if the facility offers fitness level ratings for their group fitness classes. At the beginner level (1), students of all fitness levels can participate. At the intermediate level (2), participants must demonstrate a moderate fitness level with some background in the classroom field. In advanced level classes (3), students should have a high fitness level and should be free from serious heart conditions or any other physical limitations.
2. Focus on yourself
Your Personal gym trainer will offer modifications, different versions of the same exercise that increase or decrease the intensity. Many participants unconsciously based their change choices on changes demonstrated by the instructor or other class participants. Modifications are designed to personalize the workout and should be used to meet your individual fitness needs. Ignore the preferences of those around you and use changes that force you without causing excessive discomfort or pain.
Instructors present safety cues during class. Common safety cues include having the participant bend their knees slightly, shoulders back, head up, chest up, etc. Participants should pay attention to these safety signs and ensure that they follow the instructions of the instructors. Otherwise, repeated errors in the form may cause discomfort or long-term physical harm to participants.
3. Arrive early / stay late
Participants must arrive at least 10 to 15 minutes early to each group fitness class. Arriving early guarantees a participant a place in the front (easiest place to be seen) or back (easiest place to hide) in the class. Arriving early gives you plenty of time to set up and a rare opportunity to speak with an instructor. You can get helpful tips and build a strong, encouraging relationship with the instructor. Also, it is very important not to miss the warm-up at the beginning of class for physical reasons. Many instructors will dismiss incoming students after the warm-up period begins.
Do not skip cool-down periods or leave class early. If it is absolutely necessary to leave class early, notify the instructor before class begins. Plus, sticking around a few minutes after most of the students in the class have left gives you another great opportunity to get personal help from the instructor.
4. Wear appropriate clothing / bring appropriate gear.
Loose, baggy clothes can be distracting and overheated. Wear clothes that make you feel comfortable, but avoid bulky, loose-fitting clothes, Water bottle, towel and/or personal equipment
Bring a water bottle to every group fitness class. Many instructors do not offer water breaks and expect participants to drink throughout the class. It is advisable to bring a towel (usually offered by the facility) to wipe away the lingering sweat. Bring your own equipment such as mats, dumbbells, stability balls, etc. if it makes you more comfortable than using the equipment provided. Enjoy and kick back! For more details contact us now.
