Even though Italy restricted England to just two tries in Rome, more points may have been scored by a more potent offensive.
Though Steve Borthwick’s team had the fastest ruck ball of the weekend. They continued with a formulaic approach since they lacked the game plan to capitalize on it. Although not by a significant amount, it was sufficient to win the match.
Italians’ expertise improves
The Italians do seem to have grown a little more realistic since the arrival of Gonzalo Quesada to take Kieran Crowley’s place in New Zealand.
