The formulations of silicone elastomers, also known as silicone rubber or silicone-based polymers, include solids, open-cell foams, thermally conductive materials, closed-cell sponges, and electrically conductive materials. Silicone Elastomers can be classified as resins, fluids, or elastomers based on their molecular weight and degree of cross-linking. To improve the characteristics and lower the cost of silicone elastomers, fillers are frequently added.
