LG Twins manager Yeom Kyung-yeop sent a message of support to Miami Marlins pitcher Ko Woo-suk, who has been struggling since entering the U.S. Major League. Ko was recently traded to Miami from the San Diego Padres in a surprise move. 스포츠토토핫

Attention is also focusing on the possibility of Ko Woo-seok\'s return to Korea, who is having a difficult time in the minor leagues after failing to join the opening entry of the Major League this season.

Coach Yeom Kyung-yeop met with reporters at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on May 5 and opened up about Ko Woo-suk, who changed his uniform in a trade.

According to Yonhap News, manager Yeom Kyung-yeop said, "For Ko Woo-seok, the rest of this year is very important," adding, "We need to adapt well this season to continue our life in the U.S. next season when we have the right to reject the minor league."

"Honestly, from my point of view, it\'s good to come back to our team quickly, but I want Ko Woo-seok to gain good experience on the U.S. stage and pitch that he dreamed of," he said, adding, "I hope you find confidence and find your old ball power in the new team."

Ko, who led the team to a combined championship last year as LG\'s closing pitcher, signed a two-plus-year contract with the San Diego Padres in January this year for up to 9.4 million U.S. dollars through the posting system. Ko failed to make the opening entry due to sluggish performances in exhibition games, and posted two losses, one save and an earned run average of 4.38 in Minor League Double A.

The San Diego Padres officially announced on Monday a trade to send first baseman Nathan Matorella, outfielder Dylan Head, Jacob Marcy, and Ko Woo-suk to Miami in exchange for cash to compensate for his annual salary. Ko transferred to the Miami Marlins through a trade and immediately moved to the minor league Triple-A Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp Club.

If he fails to display stellar performance in Miami as well, he could be released in the 2025 season. When signing a contract with the San Diego Padres, Ko denied demotion to the Minor League in 2025. This could end up as a handshake. This is because Miami can send Ko out altogether to keep his big league entry. If this happens, Ko should return to his original LG Twins team early next year after posting books.

As for manager Yeom Kyung-yeop, the sooner he returns to the team, the better. However, one can\'t help but hope that his student will fail. "I hope that he will overcome the challenge well and succeed," Yeom said.

Meanwhile, the KBO League Doosan Bears and Children\'s Day Derby, which was scheduled to be held at Jamsil Stadium on the same day, were canceled due to rain.

Regarding foreign pitcher Casey Kelly, who was scheduled to start on the same day, manager Yeom Kyung-yeop said, "We will put Choi Won-tae, whose ball power has recently been revived, in the match against SSG on the 7th."
