School Cleaning Checklist for stopping the spread of Covid-19
We are currently amidst a pandemic in which literally everything was closed from shopping malls to grocery shops and schools. But the pandemic is settling down and the schools are starting to re-open for children and there are certain measures that need to be taken for the safety of the children.
In this article, we are going to make a checklist of things for school cleaning services in Mayfair which needs to do before school re-open.
Disinfection of classrooms:
The first cleaning thing which should be done is that you disinfect the classrooms. It is the place where children are going to spend most of their time so you want it to be as clean as possible. Just cleaning it would not be enough, make sure that you disinfect it with alcohol or another disinfecting agent.
Making sanitation points:
Children are just children, no matter how much you teach them about following the SOP’s they will make mistakes. There might be days when they would forget their masks or sanitizers at home. In such type of circumstances, the school must be prepared. There should be sanitation points in each and every classroom. And in those sanitation points, masks and sanitizers should be definitely kept.
Decontaminating the most frequently touched surfaces:
In school, the most frequently touched surfaces are desks, countertops, doorknobs, computers, and a lot of other things. You never know that how many kids have touched these surfaces and whether they were healthy or not. Kids can contract the Covid-19 virus from these places. So you want to keep these places clean at all times using a cleaning product that has a high alcohol content in it.
Bleaching the toilets:
Just like we are disinfecting other parts of the room, disinfection of toilets is also necessary. When children are going to spend 5-6 hours in school then it is obvious that they are going to use the toilets as well. So, you don’t just want to clean the toilets but you need to properly disinfect them because there is also a chance of the virus spreading through the use of toilets.
Mopping of floors at least multiple times in a day:
Though mopping of floors does not have a direct relation with stopping the spread of Covid-19 it is a part of cleanliness that should be taken care of. Floors should be mopped twice or thrice a day when children are in school so that chances of the contamination of the virus are considerably reduced.
Keeping the cafeteria place clean:
Although there is no evidence that the Covid-19 virus can spread through contamination of food but still hygiene needs to be maintained in the cafeteria and the kitchen where the food is prepared. The chefs should wear gloves during the making and the distribution of food so that even if there is some sort of physical contact with the children, both parties remain on the safe side.
Every school that is planning on opening its door for its students should have this checklist and must follow it strictly.
