Saudi Arabia now provides electronic visas to citizens of seven countries
Saudi Arabia’s government has decided to roll out electronic visa services in seven additional countries across the world. This comes as the Kingdom has developed a more tourism-friendly visa policy in recent years in a bid to attract more tourists other than those traveling for religious reasons.

To be considered, eligible candidates must submit their e-visa applications via the Saudi Arabian government’s official tourist website.
To apply for a Saudi Arabian visa online, applicants must first visit the e-visa website and pick the “Apply Now” option. After that, applicants must complete the visa application form, pay the visa money, and wait for the e-visa to be processed, which generally takes around half an hour.
Applicants who have been granted an e-visa may print it out and use it to enter the country within the following ninety days.
Saudi officials became the first in the world to grant electronic visas late in 2019, in an attempt to assist the country’s fast-increasing tourism sector.
Last year, Saudi officials stated that foreigners may apply for a personal visit visa using the e-visa services form on their country’s website, allowing them to visit relatives or friends who are Saudi natives.
One of the requirements for the personal visit visa is to have an original passport that has been valid for at least six months and has at least two consecutive empty visa pages.
The visa is valid for ninety days and permits passengers to travel across Saudi Arabia, including journeys to Mecca and Medina, the country’s two holiest sites.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said last year that over four million visas will be issued to pilgrims from all over the world between the start of the Umrah season on July 30, 2018, and the conclusion of 2022.
