The confidence from those victories permeated the November Tests, which saw a comfortable triumph over Japan. A win over the Boks, and a tight success over Australia (30-29). Even though the margins were narrow, France managed to win the close matches, which is encouraging going into a World Cup year.
Edwards remarked, “While we can’t guarantee we’ll be there. This was the only opportunity you have to repeat the situation. To play in the RWC 2023 quarterfinal, semifinal, and final is a very difficult thing to do.
