Generation Amazing and Maktaba have teamed up to donate books to Qatar Foundation International (QFI), a member of the Qatar Foundation. The books, which contain inspiring sports-related stories, will be distributed on a network of QFI schools, which prioritize teaching Arabic. The donation was made to mark the Qatar-USA cultural year and follows the participation of the Qatar football World Cup 2022 team in the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Bilingual books are designed for school children by Generation Amazing and Maktaba to promote participation in sport and to promote good values in terms of social inclusion, health, and well-being. The first set of books was donated to the Arabic Immersion Magnet School (AIMS) in Houston, Texas a long-time partner with QFI – during the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Our bilingual books, produced in collaboration with the Library, are written by six talented writers, both locals and current or former Qatari citizens. Many AIMS students received their books during a special event organized by Generation Amazing in Houston during the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Each student received an Arabic-English poster of soccer words made by Generation Amazing and QFI.
