In this PFAS lawsuit, McDonald’s is accused of lying to customers about the food packaging’s safety, environmental friendliness, and non-toxicity.
The lawsuit was filed in the Northern District of Illinois. In a request to dismiss made over the summer, McDonald’s objected to the plaintiff’s claims and his right to speak on behalf of the hypothetical class of consumers. After the plaintiffs filed their statement of opposition last week, a hearing should be scheduled for November.
