Outdoor games for boys and girls without material
Generation after generation
Bringing back traditional outdoor playground equipment is always a great idea. Generation after generation, kids continue to enjoy the freedom and fun that outdoor games provide.
Toys and games
When children play outdoors, it not only helps them to expand their perception of the outside world, they also become more empathetic and responsible beings with the care of nature.
Here is a list of outdoor games:
The English Hideout
To play hide-and-seek, or also known as “English chick”, one of the children has to count aloud with their eyes covered and their back to the other participants.
Instead of hiding, the other children should stand several meters behind and advance little by little while the person in charge of counting with their eyes covered says the following phrase: ‘one, two, three to the English hideout without moving their hands or feet’.
The moment you finish reciting, you will have to turn around and the rest of the participants will have to stop and make the statue. If one of them is caught moving, it will be eliminated.
However, if one of the companions touches the back of the one who counts, he will free the eliminated ones and the game will begin again.
Clapping games
Clapping games enhance children’s memory and concentration. While playing, the children have to be very careful not to lose the thread and, another important point to highlight, they have to remember the song that accompanies the game.
Therefore, playing clapping becomes a fun activity that promotes social relationships as well as sharpening the senses.
To be able to play clapping, you need at least one partner to play and sing with. Among the most popular palmas songs is En la Calle 24 or Don Federico.
Relays
Relays are characterized in that all the members of a team carry out the same activity, or part of a task, each in a turn, and when they finish their part, they pass an object to another player that indicates that this new player now has the commitment to continue with the task entrusted, either to carry out another part or to finish it.
It is a well-known type of team competition, for example in athletics and that at an educational level represents an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of friendship in a group.
Relay games require concentration, teamwork, communication, attention, coordination.
