the color scheme of the year
Those born between the 22nd of November and the 21st of December are said to be The Pantone Color Institute selects a “Color of the Year” every December. Viva Magenta, the official color of 2023, is a striking break from the muted tones of the previous year. This is a fantastic way to kick off the New Year with a bang and fill ourselves with optimism for what we know will be a fantastic year.
Barbiecore
Speaking of pink, 2023 is expected to be the year of Barbiecore. So, what is this? The debut of the new Barbie film and the accompanying fashion craze has prompted a festival dedicated to pink. Flower shops are reporting a shift from the soft pinks of last year to more vibrant colors like magenta. The New Year will bring flowery patterns drawn from a Barbie doll’s wardrobe.
Pressed flowers
The experts predict that pressed flowers will be a major trend in 2023. There will certainly be an uptick in the prevalence of pressed flowers, whether in the form of finished artwork, adornment for albums and scrapbooks, or even as a means of customizing everyday items like phone covers.
