New favorite Ramadan decorations:
Enterprises founded by Muslims. It’s wonderful to see retailers like Party City include Ramadan and Eid decorations in their assortments as these holidays gain popularity. Diversity and convenience gain, while Muslim-owned enterprises that pioneered the Islamic furnish market lose out to the big box stores (no good). However, if you purchase store-bought decorations for your iftar celebration, they will look like everyone else’s. I’m not one to do what everyone else is doing.
Part of an investment. Trash and plastic are choking our lovely world, contributing to water pollution, animal deaths, and global warming. While I feel terrible about the state of Earth, I am confident in my ability to aid in its rescue. To lessen the impact I had on the environment during Ramadan. Decorate your home with beautiful Ramadan flowers.
Classy, not garnished with a space motif. Ramadan decorations that appear to be made for a western birthday celebration bother me because they include a galaxy full of moons and stars. Elegant Islamic patterns and other eastern touches that call to mind Muslim nations and mosques are my go-tos for Ramadan decorations. I didn’t want our Ramadan decorations to seem like a party or make us feel like we were celebrating for the whole month.
Tones down our apartment. Decorations during Ramadan, or any other holiday, should fit well with the style of your house. Contemporary black pieces with red, gold, and purple accents anchor the main living area of our apartment. I gravitated toward more formal (but enjoyable) Ramadan decorations in this color palette.
