Jeon Jeon-min (25), a promising young player for the NC Dinos, returned to Korea midway due to a rupture of the internal oblique muscle.

On the 8th, the NC club announced, “Jeon Sa-min returned to Korea midway due to a rupture of the internal oblique muscle.” On the 1st, he complained of pain in his left side and underwent a detailed examination after returning home on the 2nd. As a result of the examination, he was diagnosed with a partial tear of the left internal oblique muscle. The club explained, “He is expected to undergo 3 to 4 weeks of rehabilitation and will join the rehabilitation group.”

Jeon Jeon-min was drafted 17th overall in the second round of the 2019 rookie draft. He debuted immediately in the first team in 2019, and in June, midway through the 2020 season, Jeon Jeong-min enlisted in the Armed Forces Athletic Corps (Sangmu) and completed his military service. 

He is an attractive pitcher with a fastball that comes from his 194cm tall height. Based on last year\'s TrackMan data, Jeon Min\'s average fastball speed was 144.2 km. Even in NC, where there are many fastball pitchers, it was a high-quality fastball pitch. 

His first-team career records were 17 games, 2 losses, 1 save, and an ERA of 4.10. Last year, he pitched 9 games, 17 innings, no wins, 2 losses, 1 save, and had an ERA of 4.76. It was the season in which he appeared in the most games. 

In particular, on May 26th, in the top of the 7th inning when the team was ahead 10-0 against Hanwha, he took the mound following starter Eric Peddy and recorded 3 hits, 3 walks, 1 strikeout, and no runs in 3 innings, achieving his first save in his debut. 

Last year, we mainly received selection classes in the Futures League, but the results were not very good. He left with 15 games, 61⅓ innings, 1 win, 6 losses, and an ERA of 9.05.

He was considered a potential starting candidate this year, but suffered an unexpected injury on the first day of camp and was separated from the first-team squad.
