The owner of this single-family home, an architect by profession, was clear that he would live in the house of his dreams. Author of this project, he now lives in it with his entire family. To carry it out, the first step was to find the right place where you could unleash your dreams. He was looking for a space immersed in nature so he opted for the municipality of Galapagar, on the outskirts of Madrid. With views of the skyline of the capital and facing the pine forest we find this detached house that is a delight for those who visit it.
A house of 250 m 2 , distributed on two floors and built on a 1,000 m 2 land in which it has a magnificent garden and a swimming pool, of which its impressive concrete structure stands out. A building, made by the architect Daniel Ruiz and the construction company D-ARK , with a rectangular plan with a gabled roof with the usual natural aesthetics seen from this material, except in the lower part where it has been chosen to paint the walls to create a more welcoming effect.
To minimize this cold effect generated by industrial forms , a warmer interior has been chosen to balance the sensations , the work of Interior Studio from PortobelloStreet , which has achieved “a comfortable, practical and elegant home” requested by the owners. . To this end, a chromatic palette has been maintained focused on whites, grays, blacks and natural tones that are combined with some notes of color in key elements, maximizing the feeling of serenity throughout the space.
The main objective was to create a connection between the interior and the exterior, seeking the entrance of natural light through all the corners of the house and, at the same time, that this would allow exterior views from any room. Factors that favor well-being inside the home and that are combined with a minimalist interior design where there are only the essential elements for the family and in which order predominates.
