National Launch of Spiritual Empowerment for a Clean and Healthy Society Inaugurated by President of India
New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu today underscored the paramount importance of spiritual values in fostering a society dedicated to public welfare, as she inaugurated the National Launch of Spiritual Empowerment for a Clean and Healthy Society. The event, organized by the Brahma Kumaris at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, drew attention to the profound connection between inner spirituality and societal well-being.
Addressing the distinguished gathering, President Murmu emphasized that selfless service for the public good epitomizes true spirituality. “Working with the spirit of public welfare while rising above selfishness is a social expression of inner spirituality. Charity for the public good is one of the most important spiritual values,” she remarked. She further highlighted that holistic well-being is achievable only through a healthy mentality, affirming that spiritual empowerment is the cornerstone of real empowerment and a unifying force across all religions.
In her speech, President Murmu acknowledged the critical role of the Brahma Kumaris in promoting global peace and spiritual development. “The forces promoting fear, terror, and war are very active in many parts of the world. In such an environment, the Brahma Kumari Institution has provided an effective platform for the empowerment of humanity through its numerous centers in more than 100 countries,” she noted.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair for the World Peace Development and Research Foundation (WPDRF), spoke to the press about the urgent need to restore moral and spiritual values in a materialistic world. “We at WPDRF have endeavored to bring people to a common platform to foster love, peace, and unity through art and culture. It’s crucial to change the character of society as we have strayed from our moral and spiritual foundations,” Dr. Marwah emphasized.
The event also featured insightful speeches from several esteemed leaders of the Brahma Kumaris. BK Jayanti, Additional Chief of Brahma Kumaris, and BK Brijmohan, Additional Secretary General of Brahma Kumaris, addressed the gathering, highlighting the organization’s global mission of spiritual empowerment.
