National Girl Child Day Observed at AAFT ICMEI
New Delhi: We have been trying our best to bring in equality in the society which prevails when it comes to girl child. Large number of programs round the year are designed to promote women and girl child,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry in a webinar organised to observe National Girl Child Day in association with AAFT University.
“To start with we have never believed in difference between male or female when it comes to education. Same preference has been given to females at the time of education, sports, co-circular activities, arts & crafts, skill development and events from last 28 years of our education business. We have been promoting these ideas on our radio stations Radio Noida, Radio Raipur and now Radio Mumbai also. Interesting programs are crafted on MSTV to leave huge impact on masses. We are associated with large number of women organizations to support this issue whole heartedly,” added Dr. Marwah giving ample examples of different programs of awareness.
The National Girl Child Day is celebrated in India every year on January 24th. It was initiated in 2008 by the Ministry of Women and Child Development and the government off India, in order to spread public awareness about inequities that girls face in Indian society.
