Micro-Credential in Articulate Samskritam Speaking (MCASS) | HUA
The Micro Certificate in Spoken Samskritam (MCSS) is a 4 quarter six credit-hour slow-paced exploration of Samskritam as a spoken language. It prepares beginning students that are familiar with the Samskritam (aka “Sanskrit”) DevanAgarii script but have not fluent in conversational aspects to attain a level of Conversational Proficiency through simple examples and skits.
In the Hindu University of America, Samskritam is approached as a living language that informs and enhances the culture of a civilization as well as its wisdom and worldview and its philosophy and spirituality. In addition, taking Samskritam as a living and dynamic language, the MCSS course is focused on various aspects of the Sanskrit language including reading, writing listening, speaking and understanding. Accessing Samskritam will give students the ability to communicate fluently and understand easily. The MCSS is a foundational course for children of all ages from High School to.
There is a great joy that comes from mastering a new language, regardless of what the language is. Every new word that is learned can bring a new sense of accomplishment, and as students successfully memorize vocabularies, acquire the fundamental rules of grammar and start to form full sentences, each is a milestone that’s similar to advancing in the game.
Every test and exam that is that is passed successfully can trigger an endless cycle of virtuousness which can lead the student to achieve more. When that language being acquired is Samskritam the joy of learning is multi-faceted as it gives direct access to the master key of the living Hindu Civilization, to the texts and narratives of its rich traditions of yoga, dharma, Jnana art, music and dance, and the various spiritual and cultural traditions.
The MCSS is designed for students who are eager to master and learn an unfamiliar language, and those who are keen to engage with the texts and the literature of the Hindu and Indic world and its many derivative knowledge systems. There is no prior experience with Samskritam is required, and the medium of instruction is initially English. As the students grow in their ability, the language of instruction will gradually shift to Samskritam at a rate that is comfortable and simple for students.
