Management is the driving force of all the developments we see today
Yes, look around. What you will find is a constant flow of money from one vendor to the other. How is it even happening? Be it a small venture or a large one, the essential fundamental remains the same. The magic mantra is Management. See every professional endeavour is a mixture of multiple departments: Human Resource, Technical, Operations, and more. These simple departments are in themselves complex entities. They need smooth functioning. A Management specialization is a lubricant ensuring the same.
So let’s understand what the roadmap of mastering this subject is. It is a UG and PG course in Business administrations. These are commonly known as BBA and MBA. The times are changing, and so is the education curriculum. Today we have BBA MBA integrated programs as well. An integrated MBA is a 5-year program which trains the students from basic to advanced level. The first two years, students are intensively absorbed in the basics of management, emerging technologies and more. The final year accelerates the study curriculum. Students are plunged into live projects, internships and various presentation tasks. The idea is to provide them with hands-on training before they leave their academic-world. Students get to interact with the top-most leaders of the industry. So these activities thus prepare them to face the actual world.
So the next question is who can pursue a BBA+MBA integrated course?
This is a five-year program which blends the UG and PG under the same curriculum. To be eligible to participate in this program, candidates must pass their senior secondary school examination, i.e. class 12th examination. Every college and university has its own minimum marks criteria. One of the prominent b-schools, the Jindal Global Business School (JGBS) accepts the candidates only when they score a minimum of 60% marks in the class 12th. Usually established colleges conduct an entrance test to assess the merit of a student. Jindal Global School of Management conducts the Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test.
Students who have performed well in any of these three examinations such as SAT (1100 Marks) / ACT(27 Points)/ UGAT(60 Percentile) are exempted from the JSAT examination.
The selection process is those very holistic and flexible. The motivation is to choose deserving candidates based on their potential.
Career Insights- Indeed, this curriculum offers lucrative job opportunities such as managers, leaders, consultants, etcetera. They get a high paying job after graduation. The starting salary usual varies from Rs 30,000 pm to Rs 40,000 pm. It can even go high as well, but it entirely depends on the students’ calibre.
So now who should go for this course?
One may wonder that this question is no different from the eligibility criteria of the management course, but it is. There are maybe many students who are eligible for this course. But there will be very few who genuinely wanna pursue it. One must be driven and passionate to study management and create value in this domain. Otherwise, it becomes a mechanical and mundane path. It is an intensive program; it requires both logical and creative skills to become a master of it.
