KBL caught 7 fake fouls in the first round.
On the 21st, KBL released the 2023-2024 Cheong Kwan-Jang Professional Basketball 1st Round Fake Foul through its integrated website (www.kbl.or.kr).
A fake foul is an act of inducing a foul or deceiving the referee and fans with excessive action. KBL is disclosing related data after each round to raise awareness among players and to operate fair and trustworthy games.
A total of 7 fake fouls were detected in the first round. Seven people were named: Kim Young-hyun (DB), Choi Seung-wook (Samsung), Kim Kuk-chan (Hyundai Mobis), Min Ki-nam (Sono), Park Ji-hoon (Cheong Kwan-jang), Han Hee-won (KT), and Lee Jeong-hyeon (Samsung).
In KBL, if a fake foul is detected, 1 warning, 200,000 won for 2nd to 3rd time, 300,000 won for 4th to 5th time, 500,000 won for 6th to 7th time, 700,000 won for 8th to 10th time, and 1 million won for 11th time or more. Fines are being imposed. The seven people caught in the first round were issued warnings.
