It’s finally happened: Norwich’s Hwang Ui-jo scores his first goal for England
Norwich City’s Hwang Ui-jo.
Norwich City striker Hwang Ui-jo scored his first goal on the English stage in the English Championship.
Hwang opened the scoring in the 14th round of the 2023-24 Championship against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland, England, on Monday (Aug. 28).
In his first start in four games since the Swansea game on May 5, Hwang opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with the score tied at 0-0.
Hwang surged onto a low ball from Kellen Fisher down the right flank and slotted home with his right foot.
It was Hwang’s first goal on English soil. After joining Nottingham Forest from Bordeaux (France) last summer, Hwang was immediately sent out on loan to Olympiakos (Greece). However, he was unable to compete for a starting spot at Olympiakos and played for FC Seoul until last June.
After returning to Nottingham Forest for the preseason, Hwang moved to Norwich on loan in the summer transfer window to continue his challenge in England.
Hwang had only one assist in eight games prior to this match.
Meanwhile, Norwich were unable to hold on to the lead that Hwang’s goal gave them, falling 1-3. With their third straight loss, Norwich dropped to 5W2D7L (17 points), good for 17th place out of 24 teams. 카지노사이트존
