Rnging it will get u injured because you cannot use an anti-drag sheild (unless u use bronze bolts when using a standard crossbow) that’s something i don’t advise. Maging it is a nightmare since i’ve read that it has an impressive magical def.

For the levels of the melee one would require an adamant armoury with a rune scimmy (40atk required) as well as full arcane armour (30 def required) along with an amulet of str and an ally potion for str would be helpful.. Also, you need the anti drag sheild as without it OSRS Fire Cape Buy, the elvarg could hit up to 500 DMG.
