Integral parts of south africa
STEWARTS & LLOYDS – An integral part of South African culture since 1903.
Stewarts and Lloyds was officially founded in 1903.
So much has happened since then, including 1st and 2nd World Wars, the events of 9/11, Ebola… just to name a few, but our passion for steel, hardware, water pipes, valves and fittings and pumps has kept us going.
In our commitment to South Africans and the local market Stewarts and Lloyds has subscribed to the transformation agenda of the country and its National Development Plan’s ideals, thus leading to the establishment of a projects-focused subsidiary; Stewarts & Lloyds Projects (SLP), a partnership between PeoSeed Solutions and Stewarts & Lloyds Holdings. Stewarts and Lloyds Projects is a Level 2 B-BEEE company.
Although in its infancy still, Stewarts & Lloyds Projects is already making a real difference in the infrastructure projects around the country:
Transnet: In a multi-million Rand project, Stewarts & Lloyds Projects supplied HPDE bulk pipeline material for the Saldanha Bay Port
Johannesburg Roads Agency: Stewarts & Lloyds Projects supplied material into this community-uplifting multi-million Rand project, for stormwater drainage and the construction of roads in Kaalfontein, Tembisa in Gauteng
Social Housing: We were honoured to be a part of these amazing projects and supplied all the building materials for the community projects, including RDP houses in Thinasonke (Thokoza), Obed Nkosi (Heidelberg), Kokosi (Fochville) Olivenhoutbosch (Pretoria) and more. We were also a part of the building of community facilities such as community halls and multi-purpose centres.
“Most of these projects were made possible because of Stewarts and Lloyd’s innovative non-traditional credit risk management approach; where we seek to find solutions and assist projects.” says Sello Rabele, Executive Director of Stewarts and Lloyds Projects (Pty) Ltd.
