How to Use Deep Tissue Massage Gun on the Shin?
Have you ever experienced leg pain after a run? Have you ever sprinted after a bus and then felt a throbbing in your shins? Perhaps you’re just breaking in a new pair of shoes, and your calves are hurting.
Shin splints can affect runners, dancers, walkers, and pretty much anyone else. Shin splints, also known as medial tibial stress syndrome by doctors, occur when muscles, tendons, and bone tissue are overworked as a result of a change in training routine and intensity.
Massage therapy is one of the most effective ways to relieve the pain of shin splints, and massage guns can help with this. One of the advantages of percussion massage guns is that they help relieve pain from overloaded tibias and reduce inflammation of the surrounding muscles without the hassle of scheduling a spa appointment.
In this blog, we are going to demonstrate how to use a deep tissue massage gun on the shin and how massage can help with shin splints.
The attachment heads for deep tissue massage guns
Let’s get to know your tool before we begin the massage. The massage gun comes with four standard attachment heads and two stainless steel attachment heads.
In general, we advise –
Large muscle groups – ball head
Forkhead – more thorough penetration of medium muscle groups
Bullethead – precise targeting of tight knots
For larger surface areas, flat heads (1 regular, 2 stainless steel) are recommended.
You can use your deep tissue massage gun on any part of your body, including the neck, shoulders, torso, legs, and feet.
