How to upkeep marble floors
Marble is a metamorphic substance composed mainly of calcium carbonate, a chemical compound commonly seen in natural stone, shells and pearls. Calcium Carbonate is much sensitive to acidic solutions so mild, non-acidic Marble care products are suggested.

1. Baking Soda and Water
Baking soda and water mix together to make a powerful solution that can remove even the worst chemical compounds from your marble piece. Apply just a little bit of pressure with a clean cloth, and scrub the solution onto your piece. Then wait for at least two or three hours for it to dry and spray it with clean water. Use a dry tissue to get rid of any pesky residue after the job is done, and then you’re done. Do this periodically to keep your marble in tip top form.
2. Clean immediately if anything spills on
Stains are going to happen, especially if you possess marble counter tops. It’s important to maintain marble by cleaning up any stains that has happened as quickly as possible before they compromise and stain the natural stone. If you have a stain that is difficult to remove, use a Marble care product containing hydrogen peroxide to loosen it up before you scrub it.
3. Know Your Stains
Contrasting stains need to be cleaned using different ways. You should be able to clean most stains by using a hydrogen peroxide solution. For some those are tough to back off such as water spots and rings, you need to buff using a steel wool in order to get the stain out.
4. Use Marble Gloss
To get the shine that you want for your marble pieces, you need to merge marble polish into your cleaning process. Simply wait for the marble to dry after cleaning and then gently put on marble polish to the surface. You’ll get the superb shine that you want.
5. Avoid using Acids
Acidic solutions like lemon juice and vinegar can damage your marble forever. For the most part, when holding on your marble you should be able to use water and a soft cloth for most spill stains.
6. make Use of a sealer
Once in every two months, in order to reduce etching, you should use a sealer on your marble floors and counter tops. This supports stains from penetrating your marble and staining. Thus, you shall be effectively maintaining your marble by giving it its own buckler for protection.
