How to Get a Work Permit in Canada

The Regular Process for Work Permit Applications
Standard procedure states that a person must receive approval by the Canadian Human Resources Department before applying for a work permit. This process involves that employer demonstrating their efforts in attempting to find a Canadian to fill the position to the Human Resources Department. If an employer can show evidence that newspaper and online ads have been placed to no avail usually approval will be given. Relaxation of these standards will only happen if a job has already been identified as an “Occupation Under Pressure”. This status means that Canada has identified this occupation as one with a skills shortage already and therefore is willing to fill in this gap within its labor market with immigrants. A Canada Immigration Consultant may also offer help in getting low-skilled job offers approved for a foreign worker, although the expectation should be that the process is much more complicated.
