How to Calculate Numerology
As a rule of thumb, larger numbers have more impact than smaller ones. This means that for example eighty-three would be more influential than eighty-one. However, the opposite is also true: fifteen is a much stronger influence on someone’s life than fourteen or sixteen.
The Life Path number describes the opportunities and challenges the person will have in his/her life as described by their date of birth. The other core numbers are based on this one single birthday and describe how these forces will play out. They only vary slightly from person to person since everyone has different names, parents, and siblings with different influences which can make it harder to compare two people directly. In general, though, all of these numbers work together to create an overall life path number, which is the number that describes the conditions of our lives in the big picture.
The second calculation in the numerology calculator is called “Destiny”. This one happens in three steps: 1) knock-off all double numbers (11,22,33…), 2) add up all remaining numerical digits together and 3) reduce any final 2-digit sums to a single digit by adding them together (e.g.: 10+4=14 becomes 1+4=5). Please note that this only applies when you get down to two digits left over. If you get down to 1 or more than two digits left after reducing then just keep it as it is. Again, for example, eighty-three does not become eighteen, and eighty-one remains eighty-one.
The third calculation in numerology is called “Guidance”. This is a number that describes what our future is likely to look like and how we will feel about it when we get there. It’s based on the exact date (day and month) and year of birth, not just the year like many other interpretations in numerology. The only exception here are people who were born on February 29th, which become 2 instead of 3 due to them actually being one day ahead. When you add all digits up together (including double numbers such as 22) until no two digits add up together anymore then reduce the final 2-digit sums down to a single digit (e.g.: 17 becomes 1).
The fourth calculation in numerology is called “Soul Urge”. This number describes where our energy comes from. It’s not an exact thing since it includes the month, day, and year of birth too – making it very specific to each person. Think about how many people are born on any given day. There are only seven days in a week but infinite possibilities for when someone could have been born due to that rule alone. The same applies for this second set of digits which follow up after all calculations above, so there are bound to be some similarities here with other people you meet in life, but usually, Soul Urge numbers look different enough by themselves to tell them apart almost immediately without too much effort. To calculate Soul Urge, simply add up all digits until no two numbers add up together anymore. Then reduce the final sum by adding them together (e.g.: 12+5=17 becomes 1+7=8).
The fifth calculation in numerology is called “Personality”. This number describes what makes us different from everyone else and how we show it to the world. Just like Soul Urge, this one is based on the exact date, month, and day of birth so there are bound to be some similarities with other people you meet in life – but usually, Personality looks different enough by itself to tell it apart almost immediately without too much effort. To calculate Personality, simply add up all digits until no two numbers add up together anymore. Then reduce the final sum by adding them together (e.g.: 25+5=30 becomes 3+0=3).
The sixth calculation in numerology is called “Maturity”. This number describes where we go from here and how we get there. It takes into account all of your previous calculated numbers and can be compared to give you a better understanding of certain life events that happen to people, including yourself of course If for some reason you did not calculate all previous numbers above, then it’s possible this number gets left out of the interpretation process entirely. In case you have been calculating up until now, add up all digits until no two numbers add up together anymore. Then reduce the final sum by adding them together (e.g.: 2+3+7=12 becomes 1+2=3).
The final calculation in numerology is called “Life Path”. This number describes what we become and how we do it. It’s not only based on the numbers mentioned above, but also on their placement within your personal horoscope as well as whether or not they are considered positive or negative. Not everyone born on the same day, month, and year will end up with the same Life Path even though they might share some similarities. There are many more factors involved here such as family members at birth, life events, time of birth, and so forth. To calculate one’s Life Path/Path Number simply add all digits together until no two numbers add up together anymore. Then reduce the final sum by adding them together (e.g.: 5+5+9=19 becomes 1+9=10).
At this point, if you’ve followed along correctly – congratulations! You’re now ready to move on to interpretation where it all comes together and makes sense in real life instead of mathematics. Life Path numbers are the only numbers that represent the destiny for each individual whereas other calculations are more guideposts on your personal journey. There is still room here for a change in your future depending on what direction you choose over time. Your Life Path number will stay the same since it’s determined at birth, but everything else can be altered by turning left or right throughout life until you finally learn enough lessons to reach enlightenment. Once you’re there, you’ll stop adding up all your past mistakes and finally figure out what they were all about. Then you move on to the next steps that await you.
