Hindu Contributions to the World in the Realm of Mind Course Description:
This course is part of the ‘Hindu Contributions to the World’ series, which facilitates a structured exploration of various aspects of one of the world’s oldest family traditions and civilizations to overcome the modern myth that Hindus have been backward and primitive over time. , and it might stay that way if not for Western interventions.
The “Hindu Contributions to the Mind World” course set examines the Hindu contribution to the mind world that has shaped humanity’s self-understanding. It is part of two independent but naturally complementary courses.
Another set of courses, “Hindu Contributions to the Material World” explores Hindu contributions that have influenced human progress in the material world and in the sciences.
Nowadays, after the European colonization of India, it has become “accepted knowledge” that the Hindus were and continue to be ritualistic, superstitious, poor, shy, naked and barely visible as a “static” people whose history is nothing more than that of successive waves of invaders and colonizers who made India their home for a while.
This set of courses looks beyond this myth set in motion by a 200-year colonial encounter and examines the evidence for the development of thought, philosophy, spirituality, yoga, meditation, mathematics, lifestyle, consciousness, and mind that have made India such a desirable civilization across time.
It addresses the question of why everyone, seemingly all over the world, was looking for the Hindu civilization and why?
This particular course can be taken as a certificate program course in Hindu Studies or as a stand-alone course. The various courses in the Hindu Contributions to the World series can be taken sequentially in any order or as separate courses. They can be enjoyed by teenagers aged 12-18 alone or together with parents and grandparents.
Course content:
This set of courses, “Hindu Contributions to the World in the Realm of Mind,” explores Hindu thought at its best and its contributions to consciousness, spirituality, the sciences of the mind, and the relationship between the spirit world and the material world.
It reveals the way in which Hindu thought spread and spread to other world civilizations and cultures throughout history and continues to do so today.
It highlights the source of continued prosperity and wealth of Hindus over vast stretches of time.
It explores the question – are Hindu ideas obsolete? Or do they have a contemporary meaning?
Over 2 parts of 10 lessons, each covering a quarter, this set of courses will cover the various areas of innovation, invention, development ideas and thought that have characterized Hindu civilization for millennia.
These areas will include Health and Wellness, Ayurveda, Vaccines, Ideas like Yoga, Dharma, Karma, Dhyana, Ahimsa, Mathematics, Music, Epics, Fables and Stories, Art, Education, Sports, Vegetarianism, Astronomy, Meridians, Time Zones, Philosophy and spirituality.
This set of courses will explore how Hindu thought has influenced the world and how it has been transformed and adapted to different cultures and environments.
During this course, students will gain a newfound confidence from the dawn of recognition that Hindu civilization was quite different from what our acquired knowledge has led us to believe. It will restore their confidence in the Hindu worldview and way of life that has been sustainable and successful for so long.

Learn how Hindu thought has subtly and quietly spread over time and influenced world cultures and civilizations.
Discover the Hindu paradigm of emphasizing both, the world of consciousness and the material world equally, for a healthy, holistic and successful life that leads to well-being.
Develop the confidence to think laterally about the challenges and issues facing humanity and design paradigm-shifting approaches to the future.
Class structure:
The course is designed as 2 parts –
Hindu Contributions to the World in the Realm of Mind – to the Sciences and Arts
This section will focus on concepts and practices from the Hindu civilization that influenced and revolutionized the development of world thought and practice in the sciences and arts.
Hindu Contributions to the World in the Realm of Mind – Life and Lifestyle
In this section, we will focus on how the Hindus emphasized balance and provided thought leadership and guidance to the world, particularly in the areas of leading a balanced life. How has it been undermined and how can leadership be regained?
Each part will last 1 quarter, with 1 live online class per week.
Each live class will last 100 minutes with multimedia lectures and faculty interactions.
Each live online session must be followed by approximately 100 minutes of reading online material, watching short films and journaling.
Assessment will be through regular quizzes and class attendance.
Each course in this set, as well as in the Hindu Contributions to the World series, is independent of the others and can be taken in any order.
