Introduction: The Intermediate Phase of the Learn Sanskrit program by Samskrita Bharati USA is designed for students of all ages who have completed the Beginner Phase. It is a one-year program consisting of four quarters, each worth 1.5 credit hours, totaling 60 hours of instruction and 120 hours of self-study.

Learning Goals:  

The program aims to enable students to read, write and compose simple passages, and have basic conversations in Sanskrit. The course is taught in English and is accessible to students worldwide. Upon completion of the Intermediate Phase, students can move on to the Advanced Phase of the Learn Sanskrit program. 

Program Structure:  

The Intermediate Phase of the Learn Sanskrit program is based on the material in the SBusa published books “SUSHAMA” and “MUKULAM,” along with other relevant course material. The program is innovatively structured using the curriculum and textbooks created by Samskrita Bharati USA. The program is divided into four quarters, each lasting 11 weeks, with a total of 44 weeks. The program uses an easy-to-use online platform and a learning model that makes use of live virtual classrooms.
