  2. Then, keep your middle finger on the 5th key.
  3. Then, keep the index finger on the 4th key and ring finger on the 6th key. Also 4,5 and 6 are the home rows.
  4. You can also try with different numbers while you keep your fingers in place. 
  5. Now, start going repeat with 4,5 and 6.
  6. Now, add 7,8 and 9. Only move the fingers above the home row one at a time. 
  7. Now, repeat this and do the same when you start to work in 1,2 and 3. 
  8. Also remember that 0 is the last number that you would want to add in your keystrokes and also it should not be hit by your fingers but your thumb.

  1. Speed and Accuracy- so for all the people who apply for data entry jobs, a minimum rate is specified. The person needs to be very accurate about the figures and a company checks the accuracy and speed based on one’s keys per stroke (kps), strokers per minute (spm) and the keys per hour (kph).

Also, according to the Typing Institute of America, a person who has expertise in 10 Key experience should have at least 4000 to 5999 keystrokes per hour with a minimum of 94% accuracy. And a person who is a master needs to hit more than 10,000 keystrokes per hour with at least 97% of accuracy. 

 

  1. Ten-Key Techniques- so a person who knows what is 10 key experience very well and a person who is proficient or pro in 10-key data operators does not need to look at the keyboard while typing any key or entering the data. So the most useful and common method which is used by skilled and mastered 10-key data operators is to keep thor thumb at ‘0’, the baby finger at ‘Enter and the three middle fingers on the numbers in a pair of three’s as 4,5,6 or 1,2,3 or 7,8,9.
