But the work is made calmer by the realization that others like you are currently from here. That they have found glory and achievement, belonging and adulation, by asset of who they are and what they brought to the table, their gifts and lived understandings.

That it is imaginable for we to denote wherever else than what your accidental origin dictated. That you’re selected home can be yours, not just a rest break on the way. I know I’ll be around for it. Egypt’s national team might not have made it, but the Canada Football World Cup team did. It’s not similar yet, but it will be.
