  • Got to the MS Excel file by double-clicking it

  • If file is protected with the password, then a pop up will get displayed on the screen

  • The pop up will specify that your Excel file is password protected and the user will have to enter a password to open.

  • Type the password to unlock the password-protected Excel file

  • Then press on continue option button and your file will open

Solution -2

  • It is recommended to have a backup of the Excel document that is protected by a password

  • Click on Ctrl+C in order to make a new copy for the protected Excel document

  • After that -click on the password-protected Excel file then click on it to rename

  • A dialog box will get displayed to rename

  • Now user need to change the file extension name from .csv or .xls or .xlsx to .zip extension

  • Then unzip the document with the zip file

  • Look for the file ending with .xml format

  • Then, double tap on XML file then open through XML editor

  • Press the Enter key and press on Yes button on order to proceed

  • Now, through the assistance of WinZIP or 7ZIP tool or ZIP, user extract the ZIP files easily
