Many people want to know that if they meet with an accident and their bike gets damaged or broken, how they can make an insurance claim for it. When the vehicle gets broken in many places, one needs to change several broken parts, involving cost.

So in this blog, I will tell you the step-by-step procedure of taking the insurance claim for your bike.

  1. Collect all the documents for submission: First and foremost, you need a lot of documents to submit for your insurance claim.

These documents are as follows:

Copy of RC or the registration certificate

Insurance

Copy of a valid driving license

PAN card

Aadhar Card

Canceled cheque

Passbook.

These all documents should belong to the RC holder.

  1. Submit your claim:

The next step is to submit the claim to the insurance company. You need to contact your insurance company at the earliest and submit your claim at the earliest. You can submit all these documents at the service center, and service center people may forward this to the insurance company.

  1. Approval from the insurance company: After registering your claim, a surveyor from the insurance company inspects the vehicle and approves the claim. After the approval from the insurance company, work on your bike at the service center starts.
  1. Payment to the service center: You take it to the service center when your bike breaks down. You deposit all the documents to the service center and initiate the claim process. Once your vehicle is ready, you make the payment to the service center. The service center then forwards the bill to the insurance company.
  1. Claim is settled: Within a span of five to fifteen days, you get settlement of your claim by the insurance company.
