Essential Pooja Items and Their Uses for Celebrations

In Indian culture, pooja is a very important process or event that takes place daily. Pooja is a way to express the love and devotion of a worshiper to whom he worships. To perform this pooja, several things are used and required. Today we are going to list all the important things which are used in pooja and what their importance is. 

  1. Jalani Kumkum – Kumkum is a red powder used in all kinds of pooja. It is mainly made from turmeric and other organic items. It comes in powder form. When we have to use it, a little powder is mixed with some water, and a paste is formed. It is considered very auspicious to use kumkum in all kinds of social and religious gatherings. 
  2. Jalani Gangajal  - Gangajal is holy water which is the water of the river Ganga. It is used daily for bathing idols, shivling Jal Abhishek, Surya archy, etc. It is also sprinkled in the home or places where you want to remove all the negative energy from the environment. 
  3. Janta Kapoor – Kapoor in English, known as Camphor. It looks like a white waxy solid cube with a strong aromatic spice fragrance. It derives from the camphor plant leaves and bark. It is burnt before the idol or delight to do their pooja and Archana.
  4. Jalani Chandan Kesar – As the name suggests, this is an orange powder made from Chandan and kesa. It is offered to Hanumanji. A small amount of water is mixed with powder to make a paste and offered to the deity. It is a traditional way of worshipping lord Hanumanji.
  5. Jalani Gaumutra – Gaumutra is cow urine. It is considered very holy in the Hindu culture. Gaumutra has many benefits. It is also sprinkled in homes to remove negative energies. Gaumutra is also used in many havans and poojas. 
  6. Jalani Cow Dung Cake – Jalani Cow Dung is made from cow manure or cow waste. As per the Hindu culture, the cow is considered a very holy animal; it is called “mata” because we drink her milk. That’s why cow dung is used in havan to lite fire in the havan kund. The fire which is burnt using cow dung is considered pure and auspicious. 
  7. Jalani Chameli Oil – Jalani Chameli Oil is extracted from 100% organically harvested chameli flowers. Chameli oil is majorly used by people who worship Lord Hanuman. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, they used chameli oil diya in front of the Lord Hanumanji idol to worship and pray for them. 
  8. Janta Mehndi – Mehndi is also commonly known as hena. It comes in powder form. It is made by drying the leaves of a henna plant. Mehndi is used in many traditional Hindu ceremonies. During poojas also, it is used in the form of paste. 
  9. Jalani Havan Samidha – Havan and Yagya have been a part of Hindu tradition for a long time. Havans or yagyas are performed to bring peace and wealth to life. Havan Samidha is used to burning the havan kund fire or agni. It is a mixture of all the necessary ingredients used in the havan kund Ahutis. 
  10. Jalani 27 Kue Ka Pani – Jalani 27 kue ka pani is made by mixing the water of 27 wells. According to the Hindu tradition, if a baby is born in a special nakshatra, then the mother of that baby takes a bath in this water. Nowadays, due to our short lives, collecting water from 27 wells is impossible; to make this process easier, we have made this product.
